Cathy Boyd - Public, Private and Third Sector Consultant

Cathy Boyd is the Director of Strategic Partnerships Consultancy. She has specific expertise in delivering results at Senior Management levels in the public and third sectors. Her outstanding skills include strategic policy development, partnership development, performance management, tackling inequalities and service review and improvement.

Her professional experience includes a number of senior positions within local government as well as internal and external consulting. Cathy is a strong, pragmatic, hands-on leader with expertise in community safety, regeneration, area working, community engagement, community cohesion, health and well-being and neighbourhood management.

Prior to setting up her own company in 2009 she was an accredited Officer Peer with the IdEA and carried out a number of reviews across the country including district, county and unitary councils. She has also worked with the Audit Commission on CPA reviews and Consistency Panels. Her work has led to a number of national awards in regeneration, worklessness, and community safety and she has a proven track record of transformational management with individuals, teams and organisations.

As lead officer for Area and Neighbourhood working with Cheshire West and Chester Council Cathy was instrumental in developing new ways of working for the Authority including localization, neighbourhood management and rationalisation of service delivery.

Cathy is an accredited coach and mentor, and an Associate with SOLACE (The Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers), and is a Trustee of Cheshire West CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau).

She holds a BSc (Hons) Psychology, post graduate qualification in Administrative Management, is an accredited mentor and coach and currently studying for her masters level certificate in coaching at Sheffield Hallam University.
